We have been experiencing a shortage of fruit and vegetables on the shelves due to COVID-19 coupled with the drought and as such prices have risen on some items. To combat this try to think about buying and eating what is currently in season. This is the best way to reduce food miles, think sustainably and get the best value produce.
At this time more than ever it’s so important to support your local suppliers, and one awesome way we can do this is through our farmers markets. Many farmers markets around Melbourne are still open, albeit with some changes to operations (or venues) so this is a great way to support local growers and suppliers (and also get out and get some fresh air).
