The KS Environmental Group has strong values and, as a privately owned business, believes that we should be giving back a little and making a difference in society where we can.
In that vein, the KS Environmental Group supports a number of charities both locally and internationally.
Some examples include:
- Royal Children’s Hospital – RCH1000 Program and Fly for the Kids
- Smart classrooms for underprivileged children / under resourced schools in Sri Lanka. Working with charity Manusath Derana, KS Environmental have donated funds to help set up Smart classrooms in six schools across Sri Lanka, as well as donating ultrasound equipment to hospitals. Read more about our 2024 trip here.
- Donation of preloved iPads for school children in Sri Lanka.
- The Lasallian Foundation in the Philippines – developments to the Bahay Pag-Asa Youth Centre in Muntinlupa City.
- Wesley College Colombo
- Asha Society, India
- We also provide services in kind to many organisations. This includes FareShare, who we have partnered with to transform around 10 acres of land donated by KSE at our Old Dandenong property into a productive vegetable kitchen garden. Supported by a further $400,000 in donations from KSE, the garden is set to produce 350 tonnes of vegetables each year to help provide meals for people in need.
In the past, we have been involved with:
- Healthy Start Program – Hume City Council including Community Hubs at Meadows Primary School, Roxburgh Park Primary School, Roxburgh Rise Primary School, St Dominic’s Primary School, Dallas Brooks Community Primary School, and Meadow Heights Primary School, with an average of around 70 students attending daily.
- Youth Activating Youth
- Ourschool (an alumni programme, reaching over 44,000 students in 2023)
- Who Will Village, Cambodia
- Kalipay Negrense Foundation
